Etihad Airways has a plethora of sporting activities for young and old and will give visitors the chance to win two return tickets to Tokyo – to which it will launch flights in March - in its ‘Round the World’ Putting Green. For football fans, the national airline of the UAE will stage a 'Manchester City Soccer Challenge' and the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Ferrari F1 team show car will be on display for all to enjoy.

Meanwhile, young photographers have the chance to show off their skills in a special aviation photography competition being judged by Mubadala Aerospace. The competition will be open to students aged 13-19, with cash prizes of AED 7,000; AED 5,000 and AED 3,000 for the top three winners respectively and a further 30 runner-up prizes.

Faisal Al Sheikh, Head Major Events Division of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), which hosts the globally renowned aerobatics event, said: “Together with our sponsors, we have ensured that each aspect of the 2010 Al Ain Aerobatic Show will appeal to people from all walks of life.

“Year on year, the goal is to enrich the event with new and exciting experiences, underscoring the Al Ain Aerobatic Show’s reputation as one of the world’s foremost events of its kind. We intend the event to pay homage to our deeply-rooted culture of hospitality and ensure people return time and again."

Visitors will also have the chance to get up close and personal to real fighter aircraft, including a Lightning, a Harrier Jump-Jet and a Hunter, which will be open for people to explore and have their photo taken.

While adults may relax, grab a paper and coffee at ‘The National Costa Coffee Lounge’, or view the latest cars from Emirates Motor Company – the authorized general distributor for Mercedes-Benz in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain and flagship company for Al Fahim Group - kids can enjoy free face painting and entertainment from a resident clown, courtesy of Al Ain Water.

A dedicated family area has plenty to entertain, including falconry and interactive entertainment zones. There will be bouncy castles and a large picnic area where families can sit and watch the show whilst the little ones can run around in a fenced off area. Staff from Hili Fun City will also hand-out coupons for the newly refurbished theme park.
Emirates Retail Leisure are proving food outlets including Fish & Chips, Pizza, Arabian Bites, Asian Wok, Hot Roast & Pies, Costa outlets and a Noodle Bar.

Held under the patronage of HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the Al Ain Aerobatic Show is hosted by Abu Dhabi Airports Company, organised by ADTA and the UAE Air Force.
