One of the most colourful names in European aviation today.
Aged 45 years Zoltan has accumulated more than 13,000 flying hours in more than a 100 different types of aircraft ranging from Russian aerobatic radial engine single seat aircraft to ultra-modern Boeing airliners.
As a profession he is Boeing-737 captain for Malev, Hungarian Airlines.He is a Graduate of the College of Aviation with a degree in aircraft engineering, and a legal expert in aviation matters. He holds every possible type license in aviation including ATPL, float planes, test pilot and is amongst the very few pilots authorized to fly surface level aerobatics. He is one of the few Europeans recently invited to fly major Airshows in the World.
Zoltan started his aerobatic career in 1988 flying the Zlin-50 and since then his long list of accomplishments includes the team Bronze in the World Aerobatic Championships and the Advanced Overall European Champion title.Earned the World Champion Flying Ace title in 2005 and 2007 on Aero GP, becoming the first “World Champion Flying Ace” in aviation history.
2 times Guinness World Recorder, he established a Guinness World Record in Al Ain Aerobatic Show 2007, executing 408 consecutive rolls, and also a formation World Record by his Extra300.
He flies 45-50 airshows per year with more than 2.5 million spectators in attendance, participating already 3rd time on Al Ain Aerobatic Show. Zoltan carries his daredevil adventures beyond the cockpit, racing motorcycles, cars, MIG fighters and airliners.
Two of his famous stunts are the inverted ribbon cut 10 feet above ground and the ¾ snaproll at about the same height. Zoltan is equally at home flying the more sedate slower aircraft and his repertoire includes graceful, perfectly synchronized “Music in the Air” sequences.
His favourite aircraft is the Extra 300s. This fantastic high performance aircraft will enable him to develop even more incredible stunts and aerobatic sequences to “Wow” the crowds.
When his feet are on the ground Zoltan loves to play with his antique cars and motor cycles, riding his 1954 BMW motorcycle or his Velorex if the forecast says rain…
